There is something about being at the eastern most point of the Americas. The lighthouse itself looks cool but I found just looking out at the Atlantic Ocean the most enjoyable part of the entire experience. The cliffs are falling away but the affected areas are fenced off and clearly marked.
This site has both good and bad associated with it. The farol is at the easternmost point of the Americas, and the views out onto the Atlantic are fantastic. The lighthouse itself is no big deal. They have a sun watch and stuff and the lighthouse is located at the eastern place of The Americas... I have been to the Farol Cabo Branco a couple of times. It is a nice thing to visit with friends if you are in João Pessoa, but nothing special. Not really the most beautiful lighthouse in the world and the surrondings are slowly falling into the sea. Not worth the walk but maybe a free ride.
It is just a sign saying you are at the easternmost point of the American continents, but just knowing it is so much fun. I went there walking from Cabo Branco beach. I enjoy the walk. Just be aware that there is nothing fantastic about it.
Only because you have to tell your grandchildren you visited the easternmost point of the Americas, then you should go... 更多
