I found the history of the arrival of Portuguese interesting and wandering the grounds of the first settlement. Plenty of photo opportunities and local artifacts to buy at reasonable prices..
It's a very beautiful place. There are some houses built around 1530, three churches, and a delightful view of some Porto Seguro's beaches. While not nearly as interesting as the centro historic of Salvador, this small hilltop settlement is worth visiting. The view is wonderful. The houses charming.
The old city of Porto Seguro has a lot of history. You will see the first Church in our wonderful town which was built over 500 years ago. The view from this mountain top location overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and Porto Seguro. Visit our local shops. Enjoy the Tours and observe the locals make Chocolate from Cacau.
This a place that people visit with emotion as it is where Brazil was discovered (Praia de Cabraial) but the place by itself is not very attractive. There are some building from the colonial times but not a lot to visitt
We spent 1-1.5 hours wandering the old town, beautiful old buildings and great photo ops everywhere. Cute little shops to visit, prices were the same as in the shopping area. Had to pay to use a toilet so be aware of that. A little tricky to get a taxi from old town when you want to leave so ask for... 更多
