This is a small historic church built in the 1700s and restored in the 1900s. George Washington was a member. You could feel the history the minute you stepped inside. It is not elaborate or fancy but has a great history of our country in the early days.
Meet Del and enjoy a history lesson that is interactive and fun. I love learning about our country and this was a great opportunity. Take the time and stop in.

Walked in a last-minute tour; the guide was really knowledgeable and this church is of course where Washington worshipped when in town. Worth the short tour; a donation appreciated at the end.

Having lived here for a long time, this beautiful and historic church is easy to pass by. But don't miss it. Lovely to go into on your own and there is a charming graveyard and plantings surrounding it.
Beautiful church, so rich in history from George Washington, Robert E Lee, Roosevelt and even Churchill. . Should not be missed when visiting Alexandria.
