Having just watched the documentary on Netflix my children and I were very excited to go see her work. It's a small museum with limited parking spaces out front. When you walk in there is a small table to pay, $8 for adults free for children under 12. It's rather informal, the first level had lots of tables set up... 更多
This is a small 2-story museum which appears to host one visiting exhibit at a time. I visited to see the Vivian Maier exhibit which is running here until late August. The setup is a bit informal; there is a table at the entrance and a small museum store in an open area in a far corner of the room--which... 更多
The Dallas/Ft. Worth area is known for its world-class museums, such as the Kimbell, Amon Carter, Ft. Worth Modern and Dallas Museum of Art, among others. If you are in the area, don't miss these. But Arlington has its own downtown museum, located minutes from AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Park and Six Flags Over Texas. The Arlington Museum of Art... 更多
The museum is small and doesn't have a permanent exhibit. I went to see the exhibit on Toulouse Lautrec and other contemporary French painters. I thoroughly enjoed it. The all-volunteer staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of the exhibit.
This museum leaves a LOT to be desired. I have a membership and attend all events but always am disappointed. They try to make the exhibit sound good but when you get there, it is so 'not worth it'. The Christmas Tree exhibit was so trashy. The trees were 'kind of' decorated with old, terribly used ornaments. Some had only... 更多
Recently visited the Toulouse-Lautrec exhibit with friends. It was a neat exhibit and a nice way to spend a couple hours out of the sun. The museum is reasonably priced as well as has discounts for students, librarians and military. The museum is 2 floors with a movie/film area on the first floor. There is a small gift shop counter... 更多
Saw a poster for a traveling exhibition here, and stopped in about 2 hours before closing. It was a very nice exhibit, but was really surprised that the staff did not quite realize how nice. Yes, it is a city museum in a suburb right between Dallas and Ft. Worth. Yes, either of those towns easily dwarf Arlington in terms... 更多
So my art was displayed here as a child in the AISD, and I took art classes here in the basement. It's a great community venue. I also brought my daughter for Halloween. She had so much fun! it was the highlight of our trick or treating.
Arlington isn't a world renowned metropolis. There's no MoMA, but that doesn't matter. I saw an AMAZING Ansel Adams exhibit, here. A wonderful installation, and a great docu. Everything I've seen here, has been delightfully surprising. This is also a great wedding/reception venue
