Beautiful buildings and art. Too bad we didn't have longer to enjoy it. We were only able to see the outside because we arrived after hours, but thoroughly enjoyed what they had to offer outdoors.
We arrived too late to visit the inside but there is lots of info and photo opps outside. We really love horse racing and consequently really enjoyed this place; someday we're getting inside to check it out,
A horse that is bred to race a quarter of a mile. Did you know that? If you come from the US you probably do but we didn't. The building, the museum, the Hall of Fame are there as a temple to these wonderful creatures which are the workhorses of the ranches as well as the more glamorous racing circuits.... 更多
I love riding and I found this museum very interesting; Amarillo is the country where this beautiful horse is born. Here there are a lot of informations about quarter horse, there are pics and descriptions of the most famous riders and horse. And there is an interactive part where you can really learn about saddles and harnesses. I loved it.
Although I've been in Quarter Horses many years, the museum showed the wide range of jobs the Quarter Horse has handled over the years. It was so interesting to see the great horses of the past, and their many achievements.
I have been to the AQHA museum twice now and have loved it both times. I am a horse person and AQHA member so I was able to recognize a lot of the people and horses in the displays so of course that was fun to go through. My husband knows much less about the breed but he loved it... 更多
We chanced upon the AQH Hertitage Museum by accident. What a gem! The building is beautiful, the staff wonderful, and so much interesting information. We only spent an house, but wished we'd had the whole day! Highly recommended!
