This museum is in a 100+ year old carriage house and stable. It honors the race horses that have trained in Aiken and then gone on the win the Eclipse Award (the most prestigious award in horse racing). Many famous horses have trained in Aiken. See the silks of the various owners, posters that change every time I am there.... 更多
The Hall of Fame has a bare bones set-up. Most of the displays are plaques profiling the horses that trained in Aiken and went on to win big in racing. I suppose then that someone completely disinterested in horse racing will find little to catch their minds here. Me, I do like to follow the Triple Crown and I was... 更多
And the rest of us will find it interesting too. We came as part of the trolley tour from the visitors center. The site is beautiful and the collection of racing and other horse memorabilia is amazing. Docents are there to answer questions and pass on more information that isn't always in the exhibits. A great place to visit at... 更多

Susan shared some interesting stories and told us about the tree we kept seeing in so many photos. If you are visiting Aiken and are wondering the same thing, let Susan tell you the story and she might also tell you... 更多
We came to Aiken looking for a home. We stopped by this museum to check it out. It is full of history and is very interesting. We enjoyed looking at all of the trophy's and photos of the horses. They also had information on the people who took care of the horses. Nice place to visit.
Truly gives you a very good understanding of the deep roots of Thoroughbred Racing in Aiken. The Hall of Fame will take you back in time.

A big yawner unless you are an equestrian-minded race horse loving gambler type. I brought my kids and had to use heel spurs to keep them awake.... 更多
This is a thoroughbred lovers heaven. A lovely layout, in a historic carriage house, full of memorabilia that only a lover of the sport and the breed could really love. There is a nice children's playroom upstairs for kids and bored adults who aren't as in to every display as I and my thoroughbred obsessed traveling companion. Of particular note,... 更多
