We love our local library, amazing selection, connected with multiple locations around the valley increasing availability. Staff is knowledgeable. Great events for children too.
If you are a library aficionado or just want a quiet place to jump on your laptop while in Ashland (that doesn't require buying a $4 cup of coffee ;-) ), you must go to this beautiful 105 year old library in downtown Ashland.
Using librairies all of my life across the country, this one is especially notable in Southern Oregon Hours are fair, it is open on SUndays, or used to be and has wonderful collections .

Step into the charm and comfort of the Ashland Library!! Touch the books and feel the knowledge pouring out of it. Love still having a library around to spend the day reading ....looking through books, and taking a deep breath and appreciating the information at my finger tips!!
I have visited the library almost weekly for 10 years. The staff is very friendly. There are a lot of community meetings, films, book clubs taking place here. It is open 40 hours a week. Large children books section with reading groups and story hours!

a small easy to locate local library with helpful staff and a few cozy chairs where you can peruse the books and periodicals. Even a "free" section where you can leave and/or take books or magazines
