the zoo is in a forest setting giving a natural feel to the surroundings. It's in two main sections of North America and Africa. If you follow all the marked trails be prepared to do a LOT of walking. It's not particularly well laid out in that you basically walk to the very end of Africa and have to walk... 更多
We spent the day with our family and I must say we all really enjoyed our zoo trip. The weather was great, the crowds were small. Most of the animals were on display, some of the attractions were closed. My Fitbit recorded 7.5 miles walking...that's why my feet hurt. For me and my family it was a great day.
We drove from Myrtle Beach area to see the zoo since we had heard good things about it. We were disappointed, most of the cafes and gift shops were closed. Let alone a lot of the zoo was blocked off for construction, repair who knows. We didn't see many of the animals, the ones we did see were sleeping. It... 更多
We were around Asheboro in February, so we decided to take a trip by the NC Zoo. It was close to 80 degrees so it should have been a great day to go. We were disappointed. Most all the cafe's in the place were closed for the season, although there was a pretty big crowd there, and the ones that... 更多
This past summer was our 1st as grandparents taking babies to the zoo. There are places for smaller children and those young at heart. There are interactive areas & a movie theater. The best part was the opportunity to feed the giraffes.
I took my girlfriend there for her birthday. The zoo has one entrance closed for the winter season and half of the places to eat. There are a limited number of places to eat at the zoo. Unless you are a parent who has a stroller of kids and food, we didn't think we could bring in a lunch or... 更多
Very poorly run. We had to walk 1.5 miles to the entrance because one was closed for the season. I guess they think we live in Wisconsin. It was 80 degrees. The shuttle line was an hour long in the sun. One concession place had real food. They only made 40 sandwiches according to the staff so they ran out... 更多
Although we were staying in Raleigh, we made the 1 hr 20 min trip to the NC Zoo to make the most of a short weekend. We absolutely love this zoo! Even though it was a cold day, we hated to leave. The Africa section was not open but there was still plenty to see. The viewing areas bring you... 更多
My wife and I wanted to do a quick 1 day get away just to do something fun. We love animals and have visited several zoos together, but had yet to visit the NC Zoo. It was a fun experience! We actually saw 2 giraffes trying to mate when we went...not something you see every day! The safari is cool... 更多
