The view is magnificent: is probably the highest spot in Mahe and you have a great view.
The history too is fascinating with the Mission being built to teach the children of the newly free slaves.
Lots of information regarding the trees around and the fact that Marianne North was there painting trees and flowers is very interesting.
Easy to access even under a rain of December. Historical site of Seychelles. Beautiful view on the mountains, forest and islands on the sea. There are a lot of guided tour but it's enough to wait a little bit and after you will have the lodge alone. Feel that moment!
The Mission Lodge is a historical site. Used to be a school where children of former slaves were schooled by missionaries. Next to that, it serves as a small arboretum. Several plants and trees have sign posts explaining their origin. The lookout is spellbinding. Beautiful view of the surrounding forests and the beaches of the south of Mahe island.
