This small museum is impressive (and free if you are over 65 and have a document to prove it). The collection is very interesting and well-displayed although there are fewer explanations in English than in some museums. I visted this interesting museum today arriving on Bus 12 which stops right out the front. The Isho Domoto Museum of Fine Arts was designed by Isho Domoto (1891-1975) with the hope of displaying his own work. The museum was eventually donated to the Kyoto Prefectural Government in 1991. We stumbled across this museum and decided to visit. The building looks fascinating from the outside. The museum itself is not too big and gives an excellent introduction to the art of Insho Domoto (1891-1975)
I saw this museum is quite unique, especially designed building attractive. In the museum exhibited a variety of works of art with Japanese characteristics. The building consists of 3 floors has a variety of art themes.
