My wife and I tried two different tasting menus (of wines) and sat at the tables out back to enjoy the views of the vineyard. While we enjoy all their white wines, we particularly love their dessert wines, with the Late Harvest Sauvignon Blanc (2012) being our current favorite. Well worth a visit!
We like the Rieslings here, nice late harvest some years. We always have issues with all the super dry wines people prefer as we are Mosel/Rhine orientated. Paumanok offers a full range of Merlots, Cabernets, mixes, etc., etc. - they are a very competent vineyard. So, it's worthwhile to spend awhile in their tasting room sampling things. You almost certainly... 更多
Great wines, great hospitality, and an amazing education on the science of winemaking. Highly recommend. The Massoud family were pioneers to the North Fork of Long Island, and have done an incredible job building a great winery from a potato field.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this vineyard. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They enjoyed telling me about their wines and the soil. I took a self guided tour which was fun. I was able to walk around the property and see the vineyards and the equipment. The grounds are very picturesque. Very pretty. It was a really... 更多
I came because it won winery of the year in 2015. When you walk in there's a board with all of their wines with 90+ scores!! Really? I thought that was probably defying the odds for any one winery, but I'm no expert!! Best to try a lot I thought! :-) I did and wasn't overwhelmed, and either was my... 更多
Visited on 8/15/16 on the recommendation of our innkeepers at Harvest Inn. (who are fantastic! - see our separate review) Some of the best Reds on North Fork. Anna was the best hostess of the dozen vineyards we visited over a couple of days. She's happy, outgoing and gave us some perfect recommendations of other vineyards based in what we... 更多
Four of us walked in for a tasting. There was one other couple at the counter with us and two servers behind the counter. We ordered a cheese platter with our tasting flights and our server said we can sit at one of the tables. She did not specify whether or not we would have to come back to the... 更多
We were in Long Island for just a couple of days and didn't know anything about the local wineries. We did an Internet search and landed on Paumanok. Have to say I was pleased with our choice. I bought a dry rose which I have enjoyed immensely, just a shame they don't export to Uk.
Great atmosphere and very nice wines, though I admit I'm no sommelier and Long Island wines are a recent discovery for me. I liked that it was a small vineyard, and we also got lucky with a beautiful sunny day... All in all, a very pleasant visit, and of course we took a few bottles home... to Brazil!
Each and every time out to the North Fork we stop at Paumanok. Clearly one of the leading wineries on the North Fork. The Massoud family has done themselves proud with what they have accomplished. We love all of the iwines.Watch for the Grand Vintage Chardonnay! This is always a treat! We are in love with the Chenin Blanc and... 更多
