Although it may have gotten a bad rap in the past couple of years due to a reputation for poaching, Gonarezhou is as excellent as ever. Bird life is ample and elephant, various deer, and wild dogs were also seem during our two day visit.

Very quite place. Enjoyed nature . Went as a couple. Could hear the lions at night . little animals to see though - elephants, kudus . Had to drive long distances to meet animals. The road is not good, almost gave up before arrivong at the place
Gonarezhou is a hidden gem. It deserves many more visitors than it has. It is somewhat isolated, but that means the animals are in their natural state and not habituated to cars as they are in other areas.
We visited the north western section of Gonarezhou from Chilo Lodge. We have visited Kruger a umber of times as well as Hwange. Animals, particularly elephant are less familiar with cars and people, more care needs to be taken.

Very good safari with a fantastic guide Lionel interesting and fun! 4 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 5 much fun crossing the Save river in a boat then picking up our transport on the other side. Highlight of our tri was seeing close range a herd of wild elephants if u love wildlife this is a must.
