We enjoyed seeing the beautiful boats, especially the older wooden ones, in the unique yacht house. There are ample signs explaining the history of the boats.

It only takes about half an hour to tour the yacht house. There are beautiful boats in there. You have to do all the reading to know what boat you are looking at. There is no one there (other than the ticket lady) to answer questions or explain things. We still enjoyed it thoroughly.
For an additional charge from the Boldt Castle you can take a quick shuttle ride over the Yaht House which not only houses the boat museum but the second floor was used to house visitors to the castle back in the day,
As a complement to the visit to Boldt Castle, Boldt Yatch house is an interesting visit to the private docks and boats owned by this property.
A 5 minutes ferry will take you from Boldt Castle and return to Heart Island again, every 30 minutes, time enough to visit it.
