描述: We're a unique animal welfare and conservation organisation working to...
We're a unique animal welfare and conservation organisation working to rehabilitate unwanted or confiscated gibbons from the pet trade and tourist industry. Come visitor our centre at Bang Pae waterfall and learn about the fascinating lives of gibbons and how you can help these highly endangered animals! Open 9am - 4.30pm (except Thursday, 9am - 3pm) our centre is free of charge however entrance to the national park area where we are located is 200 Baht per adult. For information about volunteer opportunites visit our website. Please note: GRP is an active conservation project and the majority of our animals are part of an ongoing reintroduction program. A select number of gibbons can be seen from our public viewing area but visitors are not able to feed them or otherwise interact with them. The Gibbon Rehabilitation Project (GRP) was set up in 1992 by Mr Noppadol Preuksawan, the chief of the Royal Forest Department in Phuket at that time, Mr. Thavrn Sri-Oon, Bang Pae Sub-Station chief, the Asian Wildlife Fund and an American Zoologist called Terrance Dillon Morin. In 1994 the Wild Animal Rescue Foundation of Thailand (WARF) started to support the project, and we are now a research division of WARF.

The project was amazing and it was just 20 mins from Thalang City. Gibbons are an essential part of the health of the jungle. Living in the trees and grazing on fruits and seeds, they drop seeds here and there as they travel through. Help them to return to the wild.

We went there very early morning ( entry for Adults for waterfall 200 for kids 100) this organisation only works for charity money's. Forrest was also great especially many nice colourful butterfly's were everywhere. We had great time with kids.

I'm all for supporting animals. But it's two cages and upwards of gibbons that don't look happy. It's not the best considering they get donations for enrichment. The staff were unfriendly and cost 200baht. I was bitten alive and the bang pae waterfall was boring too

We found that Southern Thailand doesn't have much to offer the tourist who is interested in learning about and/or helping the local animals. There is a zoo that had such depressing reviews that we didn't go.There was an insect and butterfly facility, but it had closed down before our trip. We visited a snake show and they treated and housed... 更多

Visited the Gibbon rehab project this morning and loved it. One of the volunteers spent time chatting to us and telling us about the project. As others have said this isn't a zoo and you wont get to pet them, but that makes it better as you know they are trying to rehabilitate the gibbons for release into the wild.... 更多

This is not a zoo so don't expect to see lots of animals. What it is though is a fantastic place where gibbons who have been mistreated by the tourist industry are looked after and rehabilitated back into the forest. It was heart breaking to learn of the horrendous treatment they receive in bars and tourist venues. If you know... 更多

We had wanted to visit the waterfall and gibbon rehab centre but was disappointed as we visited the waterfall first and missed the opening hours which closed earlier on Thu. If you just want to look at monkeys, you go to the zoo. This place is not a zoo and every gibbon has a story to tell. Take some time... 更多
