Elephant watching in Kuiburi NP is really worth the trip. We came back with so many beautiful and inspiring impressions. It is great to see how they are running this national park. The rangers are very knowledgeable and trying raise awareness amongst visitors. Our guide - Meh, a young Thai girl - knew so much about the elephants, their habitat... 更多
I went to Kuiburi National park twice last month. Both times I had excellent sightings of wild Asian elephants. If you want to see wild elephants in Thailand, this is a good place. If you are lucky, you can also see gaur and maybe even bentang (I saw once of the two times I went). The park is open from... 更多
the location of the elephant watching area has got nothing to do with Kui Buri National park - they are about 20km apart. Driving there without being able to read Thai road signs makes it virtually impossible to find. Anyway, once you find the place and are being driven to the watching spots(800THB including guide), it's almost impossible not see... 更多
We found this trip on Internet and headed down to the national park but don't follow signs to Park headquarters you need to follow signs saying Wildlife Watching which was a bit confusing as we felt like we were driving round in circles, also try and chose a day that's a little overcast and not too hot we went in July... 更多
Just over an hour's drive from the seaside resort of Hua Hin (depending on traffic conditions), this national park is well worth a visit. Its main attraction is the herd of over 250 wild elephants, but this being a natural environment sightings of the animals are not guaranteed. Once you see these magnificent creatures at close quarters, however, the experience... 更多
Just to know that you only maybe will see animals, gives this trip an extra kick. Because this is nature. Wild animals at home. This is not a zoo :) Friendly guide with a lot of knowledge. A big higlight this summer.
Make sure you add this trip to your itinerary! We made our way up (own transport) from Bang Saphaan but if you are coming from Hua Hin its only a few hours drive and if you can hire a car. The drive is easy and you can stop as many times as you like to take photos as there are... 更多
It is a very interesting place. There were wild elephants there and if you were lucky you could spot some. We donated some money to the WWF for their project there so we got to go on a special tour. They took us to see them collecting samples of elephant poo. It was really exciting.
When we first planned to go on this safari we were looking forward to seeing a lot of different wild animals in their natural surroundings. It could be once in a life time adventure for us. We went with a private driver and got lost two times before ending up finding the place. If you want to go with a... 更多
The park is open to visitors 2-6 PM (follow signs for "viewing the elephants" not to the national park headquarters). We arrived at 4 PM in our rental car. Once we signed in (and paid), we were assigned to a driver/guide team. You ride on the back of a pickup truck, with padded "benches." Neither our guide nor driver spoke... 更多
