There are two "main" museums about the WWII occurrences along this railway. There are entries for both of these elsewhere which have the better, more accurate titles. This museum needs a lot of work to get it up to scratch and considering they charge 40 baht to get in for so called maintenence. Exhibits either dusty and dirty or behind dirty glass in dark dimly lit rooms. Please don't waste your precious vacation time totally boring
War museum is one of the most detailed and systematic collection of memories and artefacts. You will end up spending atleast an hour + in there. Tied and hot after a day at Hellfire pass and on the train we took the boat ride into town late in the afternoon. I joined a Group Tour of Kanchanaburi for a day before leaving Bangkok. Of the 3 day tours I joined in Bangkok, this one is the best! Included in the day tour was the visit of this museum. I was surprised to learn that the entry fee to this museum was not included in our day tour payment.. Very cheap... 更多
This place was awesome, cheap, though you can easily spend a couple of hours here. And some of the signs you will get a giggle too. Some great history here.
