Mary's well is an easy walk if you are staying in Nazareth, but is small and not very clean. The spring / well in the Orthodox church would probably be a better choice if you wish to see something nicer.
The well is nothing special and is not kept up. There's garbage in it. The restaurants in the area however are fantastic, so quite worth the walk up the street.
Sometimes you cannot get into the church because they are having Mass. But when you go in, pass through the church to see a spring where they say Mary saw the Angel Gabriel. The iconostasis is small but impressive. Pretty little Greek Orthodox church.
The spot is obviously not treated as a touristic jem... very dirty (serves as a pit hole for locals), strong urea smells... no water at all... Shame on Nazereth municipality!!!
Nothing much to write about the place even though it is a significant place bibilically. Trash is all around and not maintained at levels expected for such a site.
There is a well and few olive trees. Well is rebuild recently and you can make a picture in front of it, That's it. But there are few places nearby which are more interesting, If you take exursion this will be your 1st short stop.
Mary's Well is an unmarked, trash filled, dry water feature. It seems to be mostly relevant as a small square where most of the buses stop.
The square where this is located is nice but the well itself was full of trash. There are a lot of resturants nearby. It is not too far from the markets. Don't get to the markets until about 11. Only a few were open before then
Mary's Well was the starting of exploring and following the Bible from the Annunciation, the life of Jesus till His Death .People would go draw water from the well were Mary was Announced by An. Angel. There not much to say about it
