The temple was built in the 1700s but has a very modern look to it. After a lot of probing from our guide, he reluctantly admitted that there had been several refurbishments to the complex and that some of the brickwork had been replaced The temple complex is keen to highlight the unity of the religions of Lombok (which is... 更多
Public space is very rare and/or non existent in cities like Mataram, so I thought this would be a good place to do some writing and relaxing on a nice day. But, 10k Rp ticket or the alternative mandatory 50k "donation" make this a bit of a miss due to the lack of maintenance on the grounds. I mean relative... 更多
Located in downtown of Kota Mataram Lombok. It was a palace of Karangasem kingdom in Lombok when they occupied Lombok long time ago. Now is more organize and maintaining well than before. This place has swimming pool too. And mangosteen three along the side of water palace. also something mistic about this palace believe by poeple a special by Hindus.
The site is poorly maintained despite visitors having to pay an entrance fee. While it has historical significance to the island, there is not much in it. The guide is a real put-off. He constantly talks about making a donation (no receipt) and at the end of it asked for tips for himself and 'extorted' a donation for the temple,... 更多
Unless you are completely out of your options and bored out of your mind, or else you can just let this one pass. You won't miss much. A hindu structure that is worn and torn with a big dirty pool in the middle. That is literally it. The ticket will set you back $1 USD so it is not that... 更多
When you read water and temple one gets excited, usually for good reason. The guide tried his best but was only helping out.The history is interesting but the site is run down, hence the cheapness of getting in. When I saw pedalled in the water I couldn't take the place seriously. Not the best.
While the story behind the palace is intriguing and symbolizes Lombok's history as well as recognizing all religions contribute to a society - it looks like it has fallen into disrepair. The guide (who seemed to be on auto pilot and droned away at us) was a returned 'lombokian' from other parts of the world. He failed to bring to... 更多
This palace is very rundown and quite a lot of rubbish in the lake. You do need to pay a guide to take you around and the photos you'll get have the modern commercial shops in the background. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle for a short while, could be place to come.
