It is less of a waterfall and more of cascades, but very beautiful and a scenic wonder. The walk to the falls is also very nice and refreshing. The railings block you from reaching to the water and the view of the cascades is close enough. Worth visiting!
Pykara Lake - If you are travelling during the May-Jun season, you need to travel through the traffic jam (takes incredible time to move around even within a few kms), wait for 45 minutes to buy the tickets for boating, wait for another 30 minutes for the boat to pick you up and finally, the ride is just for 10... 更多
I visit Pykara Lake and falls in April 2015. Unfortunately, Summer is not the season to visit. Its completely dried-up and not an attraction at all. I had visited along with my family. My kids got bored and just would not sit. So we had to pack early and it was like a flying visit to the falls (dried waterfall... 更多
We visited the pykara falls on our way from mysore to ooty. The approach to the falls is blocked. So you cant sit on the rocks where the water flows. The falls although quite small is beautiful. The entire place is well maintained. Lots of dustbins and no plastic waste throw about. It has neat use and pay toilets and... 更多
water fall is a great place and must be visited and it is on the way. You have to walk 15 min to reach fall but its a worth and offers excellent views and enjoy clean water fall here No need to visit lake if you have already seen the main ooty lake
Really enjoyed the boating in Pykara lake and Pykara falls also worth watching. Liked this location a lot. Visited this place during last week of March and by the time we go they have closed the gates of DAM and hence no water in falls. But by the time we complete boating and return they have opened the gates and... 更多

Beautiful place. Looks like mini-Switzerland. Lake is serene and the falls are some distance from there. Have to walk a little bit to reach there. There were tall pine trees, and rocks. Check for the right season when there is water in the falls.
Pykara Lake and Pykara Falls are the best places to visit in ooty, picturesque view of the lake and falls will mesmerize you. it is a beauty to behold in your eyes for rest of your life. Pykara Lake also offers you boating experience and that too speed boating, it was an awesome experience which you will enjoy. Falls are... 更多
This is a good place to visit but one has to do a lot of walking to reach both places. Lake and Falls are in opposite direction and to reach the lake there is no other option than to walk ~1+ kms. The boating is good and the walking ambiance is also nice. Lots of trees and greenery when you... 更多
This place is quite amazing and boating here is a real fun. Minimum charge for boating is Rs.550/- for 8 persons. Families with 2 to 4 persons don't have an option, but to shell out Rs.550/- unless you find someone to share. However, boating here is quite awesome compared to crowdy ooty lake.
important thing is timing for this waterfall. it opens at 8.30 in the morning. Its kind of step-down waterfall. Not like other waterfalls I have seen.
Pykara boating is a wonderful experience which one must consider. Going Pykara falls is simply making yourself a fool. Nothing much of a waterfall and a time waste experience.
One of the awesome place of ooty.... Even though the way is little rough, and waterfall is small but its beautiful and clouds will not leave you. Those clouds and fog around you will make you realize about the hill station all movies shows all the time. Its amazing to watch the water flowing all the way from hills to... 更多
