Went to Yelagiri Hills over the weekend. A good place for a weekend relaxation and we did just that. Leave Bangalore on Saturday morning and reached well before noon and returned back in the afternoon on Sunday and reached back Bangalore on Sunday evening with just a night's stay. Not many places to cover. Probably you cover in a max... 更多
This is the right place for a weekend getaway from Chennai. The climate is not so cold in summers but the temperatures drop surprisingly at night. The view while driving is good and there is a decent amount of attraction on offer for people looking to be occupied for the weekend. Trekking lovers can visit the swamimalai trekking spot. It... 更多
Good weekend destination from Bangalore. One night is the maximum you can stay here. Not many things to see around, but can relax in the hotel and a walk in the park. Boat house was closed. I am not sure why as that was teh only major attraction over there.
We saw an advertisement in the Newspaper that there's going to be a Summer festival in Yelagiri. The trip here was promising with steep hairpin bends and breathtaking view from the top. But the destination was disappointing to say the least. There's this Nature park which has a few lawns and simple water fountains. There were a few aquarium tanks... 更多
We went in the month of May. The climate was just perfect. Not too cold, not hot. We visited Nilavoor Lake and its park. They are little crowded as went on a weekend. We had a relaxed stay here, without much to do or see. The only interesting thing here is trekking. There are no good restaurants for families to... 更多
We went to Yelagiri on the last weekend in May. It was really hot in Chennai and as we climbed the hills to Yelagiri the temperature got cooler. The weekend was cloudy and it rained for a short spell so weather wise it was lovely. Nothing much to do once you get here. I have heard people go trekking in... 更多

I liked Horesely Hills (near Madanapalli, AP) better than this place. Other than lake (which is also not so good), nature park, nothing much to see. The temperature difference between the hill and the land is only a few degrees. We stayed in a resort called Zeenath Taj gardens, which is good though.
It is a small hill station with plantations around. There is garden with children's playing area. There is also a lake with boating facilities. It is a place for a break and relaxation. There are many hotels and resorts for stay.
