The desert safari is fun, riding on camel, you will enjoy it, but yes during season/peak time it is over crowded and lots of vehicles. Poor management of traffic. The sunset view is amazing and walking desert sand is another pleasure to feel.
The review is more about the way the park is managed than the place itself. The DNP is one of the largest national parks in the country but the government has put in no effort to do anything to promote tourism. Some of the issues we faced were: 1. Some people we spoke to in Jaisalmer did not even know... 更多
We went to see the Great Indian Bustard and we managed to sight one. It's a big bird and took flight right in front of us. Lizards, Nilgai, Birds could be spotted easily. Kids enjoyed the camel cart ride through the park.
Ours was a official trip to DNP and SAM dunes. We were lucky to see a pair of Great Indian Bustard. Visitors can enjoy walk in DNP and camel ride on sand dunes. Jeep Safari in night was a thrilling experience.
People may go to Rajasthan mainly for 2 reasons: 1. The forts / palaces and 2. The Desert. Most foe the people go for both. The desert is a beautiful experience. You can have a lot of memories to bring back. Avoid summer because it would be too hot. We went in Dec - which was cold, but the desert... 更多
Sam dunes are a must visit (they are better than Khuri village imo). Dont pre book anything you can get the best rates. I got 100 for a 15 minute camel ride and 800 for a 20 minute jeep ride on dunes ( for 7 people). Touts in Jaisalmer will try to offer a package of 500 rs and include... 更多
Camel safari in the desert national park was an awesome experience. Initially we were totally confused to choose between Khuri and Sam as we wanted to experience the best possible within a day. We drove to Khuri village from Jaisalmer around 2PM and explored the village. As the safari packages were high priced we engaged a camel man (Pumaram) from... 更多
We went here at sunset for a camal ride. The leaders were very friendly making the ride very enjoyable. The whole experience very enjoyable. It took about 30 minutes to get there from Jaisalmer.
I was really surprised to see how green a desert national park was. Entry to the park was Rs 50 per person (for Indian tourists) and Rs 200 for the car parking. You can hire a camel cart for Rs 800 and take a 2 hour drive through the park. As the weather was good, we chose to walk instead.... 更多
