This museum at is very popular and is visited by most tourists who come to Fort Kochi. The museum with a good collection of artifacts and mural paintings is a memorial of the Indo-Portuguese Christian Art heritage. Most of the collections of the museum like piece of altar made of teak, processional cross made of silver and wood, coat of... 更多
If you are fascinated by the nature of Portuguese influence in this area, then this museum is well worth the short walk for a visit but all in all it is a little too quiet and reserved to provide much more than a brief experience. Artefacts are excellent so perhaps fairer to say 'not for us'!
Nice collection of religious artifacts. They are displayed nicely and labeled appropriately. It only costs 25 rupees to enter. As this is close to many other sites I think it is definitely worth a stop. There were interesting artifacts from local Catholic Churches. There was also a mostly-underground piece of the original Portuguese fort which was the first we had seen of it!
its the bishop house over the remains of the old fort not so interesting ... unless you have some religious interest in catholics I guess ... I thought it was a museum , indo-portugese, but found out it wasn't. The visit didn't go in vain as we got to see the remains of the fort in the basement
Entrance was 25 rupees. I was the only one there and Joseph gave me a tour and explained some of the exhibits. The museum was small. Spent about 40 minutes there. Joseph was extremely friendly and knowledge - his tour made the museum much more worth it.
It is very small neat museum shared grounds with Bishop House. The collection is dedicated mainly to local religious art and architecture, and portuguese influence on it. The exposition is carefully selected with clear signage.
