There are two trails. The lower trail sweeps down into the valley and follows along an old river bed; it's a very short hike. We stayed here while visiting White Sands National Monument. It was a quick 25 min drive to the park and offered great views is the Sacramento and San Andreas mountains. Nice museum center, very interesting history of the area. You can hike up the mountain a few miles or few take a short stroll. Places to rv camp. I think there are tent camping places too, not sure.
they have beautiful rv parking spots. there is a small fee to enter the park, and one to park your rv. they have a beautiful garden with signs explaing everything growing in the area, they also have a desert trail you can walk down through the canyon. at certain times of the year they take a carvan out in the... 更多
We took the short hike that begins near the visitor center and follows the lower canyon. We had a wonderful encounter with a very curious road runner!
They have a shorter fairly easy walk near the visitor center, or a very long difficult 5 mile hike to the top. Visitor Center has a real nice museum covering history and geology.
This state park has both camping and day use ($5 per car). There are two trails to hike.
