Lancetilla's Botanical Garden is a jewel, one of the most exotic in the world which was established in 1926 by the United Fruit Company. Dr Wilson Popenoe was in charge of the garden, he enlarged the garden and it is today a precious botanical garden, one of the biggest in Latin America and number 2 in the world. If anyone... 更多
Very spacious, over 1600 acres of very natural plants and fruits. Very impressive selection of bamboo trees along with some exotic plants with amazingly delicious fruits such as the lychee and the mangusteen. Delicious selection of exotic fruit wines available at the end of the tour. Worth the visit and the exploration.
Good park to go for a stroll. But the types of plants and the way it is all laid out is very very average. They shouldn't charge as much as they do, not at all. Maybe it was because I was American though. Felt like they put up a couple signs and.... thats all.... They did next to nothing to... 更多
This place is close to tela like 10 minutes the service is ok, they have tour guides for extra price they explain the history and names and types of trees and plants, it is good to walk around the flagstone sidewalks and learn about the history, you can try the fruits from the trees, we went in June and there was... 更多
We enjoyed a couple hours of wandering the garden paths, watching the busy ants at work, sight seeing for birds. We actually did get to see a few monkeys in the trees, which everyone else that we have talked to hasn't seen so we felt very lucky. It would be better to have a guide to get the full background... 更多
The garden is probably better when it's blooming season but it was still interesting. You need a guide though to really understand what you are seeing - there is one woman who is learning English and did a fantastic job considering we were here very first English tour. We could tell after a few more tours her confidence and vocabulary... 更多
Very nice place. Definitely worth checking out. I kind of left the pack and went out on my own checking it out. Met a super nice guy who gave me a fantastic tour, and he gave me some fruit that I I'd never before seen… Interesting stuff.
