This is one of our favorite lakes to kayak in New Mexico. The water is clean and there are lots of areas to explore. This lake does have fast-moving boat traffic, so it is necessary to be aware of boats around you. The launch is easy to use and boaters are generally courteous.

This was in the middle of nowehere and you come down from the high plains to a very pretty lake (although not with a great deal of water) and very pretty countryside.There were good viewing and picnic facilities around the lake.
We stopped here to stretch our legs and sat at one of the picnic tables. Very quiet and just a very peaceful place to sit and relax.
