It quite far from city. Round taxi trip will cost you 30-35 dollars. This is supposed to be the place to observe flamingos but when we visited it there were none. It is nice beach but Tortuga Bay is far far better!
We visited this beach as part of a land tour excursion. There were kayaks available for rent and short stay camping sites are available. A lovely place to relax and enjoy the view. Guard your lunch against the finches! We were told not to give in and feed the wildlife as they are to be protected against human interference.
a 45 min drive away from town. Beautiful beach, calm and way from crowds. Great swimming with just the right amount of waves and rocks. Amazing white sand. Similar to Tortuga Bay, but in the end I'm glad I went to try something different. A bit buggy. Horseflies bite, so bring insect repellent. Can rent kayaks, but I didn't see... 更多
If you're looking to camp, Garrapatero Beach is the only option on Santa Cruz. It has a designated camping area. The good part is that it's in a wind protected area, the bad part is that it's not on the nice soft powder sand, so it's not exactly beach camping. The beach is a great place to watch pelicans endlessly... 更多
This was quite a long taxi ride but very nice to see another part of the island. The driver dropped us off and came back to pick us up at a pre-determined time. The $30 was for the return trip. The trek to the beach wasn't very long. Even in November the water was warm but snorkelling wasn't that great.... 更多
I was here during October 2016 so it was off season and almost without people.I took a 20km bike ride from Puerto Ayora and on a way stopped to see south american longest lava cave. After a getting to the beach i was astonished by it, seen some flamingos in a little lake by the beach and then rented a... 更多
This is one of the prettiest beaches in the area that is accessable by taxi or bike. The white taxis in town will take you out for $30 round trip. Be sure to agree on the price before leaving town. Also, agree on how long you want to stay to arrange for pickup by the same taxi. DO NOT PAY... 更多
It is the picturesque beach. We took a taxi over there and it was 10 minutes’ walk to the beach. We walked around and I took some pictures of birds and marine iguanas. You also can rent a kayak for 10$ per an hour. Make sure you need to arrange transportation back to town.
I loved this beach. It is beautiful and had really great mangrove trees to leave your stuff and hang out under. The water is calm enough to swim in - not much for snorkeling though. Walking this beach was great.
