The Maria Reina Metropolitan Cathedral of Barranquilla is a fairly unimpressive building but inside has 8 stunning side windows 80 feet high and 20 feet wide with 1,198 panels of stained glass. Barranquilla its not the most touristic place. But there is a couple of cool things, This catedral doesnt have nothing interesting or unique, but if you are near could be cool to look around and check the building, If you dont go, you wont be skipping something important.
We love this Cathdral, but at first glance it does seem rather cavernous. Gorgeous stained glass windows in front depict the 7- day Creation. Pope John Paul II visited in the 80's and stood on the balcony. There's a small museum inside with items from his visit.
