The zoo is small but very interesting. It's great for kids because animals walk around like iguanas, peacocks, monkeys. You can actually get very close to the animals. You can walk it very quickly if time is tight or take your time and enjoy. I love it there and so do the kids.
The Barranquilla Zoo has been here for many years, and shows it's age. But, it is being modernized, slowly. It is a privately own zoo and depends on donations. But for a visitor to B'quilla it is a fine place to visit.
Being from New York maybe I'm spoiled but I am very aware of what malnutritioned animals (very skinny animals) look like in small cages. I loved to see the animals but it made me sad to see their environment the white tailed deer was even injured hopping around on 3 legs, the manatee had died, the monkeys had more space... 更多
This zoo was smaller than what I'm used to in Chicago, but it was still a great place. You're able to get pretty close to the animals. There are even a few freely walking around the zoo (lots of iguanas). My 2 year old daughter really enjoyed this.
This zoo made me sad. The elephant looks so lonely and had no shade from the sun. It was 32 degrees. The water in its enclosure was dirty and had debris in it. Most of the big cats just laying around, and the other mammals, weren't very active and some wandering in circles like the little bear and the Puma.... 更多
The Zoo is small but well maintained. It has lots of difference animals (140 species) who all come from South American countries (except the African Elephant). We spend 2 hours in the Zoo.
