This was so close in proximity to Carhenge, that was simply too easy not to pass up. A great little town that gives a little insight into the people of the area.
Lot of history in an early homesteaders setting. Great tours in the summer. Well worth the stop. Lot of old buildings restored. With helpful guides to explain what it was like to live 140 years ago on the plains of Nebraska.
We went when the buildings were locked up do could only get a feel for the place from outside. It is worth the visit but only after you have been to the other places in alliance is the museum, and the fountain. And of course taken a walk in central park
There is something eerie about this place to me. I went with my husband and when you are the only one in that place it is creepy. Dobby's Frontier Town is very interesting. You can really immerse yourself in frontier history in this collection of historic buildings. I was fascinated by the homestead cabin that belonged to an African-American homesteader. We had a terrific guide and it was really great.
