First, if you are going on a weekend, be prepared to park at the Kellogg Eye Center. They DO NOT have enough parking on site. Second, Make sure that you bring a driver's license or credit card to rent the tubes or kayaks. Third, if you are tubing be prepared that the kayaks rule. Many of them hit us with... 更多
We did the 1.5 hour trip and it was just the right length for our family. The cascades are nothing scary or dangerous but just enough thrill to be fun for novices, fun enough that everyone wished we could do them again. Despite running through Ann Arbor, there is plenty of "wilderness" to be enjoyed. We even saw a young... 更多
Such a splendid way to spend an afternoon with family with kids, or a group of friends or just a solo trip! The river is slow and rambling. The scenery is great and although you may encounter some places where you need to hop out and navigate the low spots it is all FUN!
This is an awesome starting off spot along the Huron River for kayaks. Expect to take about a half an hour parking, paying and getting set-up. We went on a Saturday, parked on the road, walked in, stood in three lines (one to sign the forms, one to pay and buy water shoes (a must have!) and one to get... 更多
Was so much fun going down the Argo Cascades. If you bring your own tube then it's basically free, so you save at least 20 bucks, also, be sure to bring your own life jacket as well. To avoid most of the crowd I found that the middle of the week in the morning was the best time to come.... 更多
the family spent a beautiful sunny day going down the Huron river. Well worth the $. Get there before 11am to avoid the various line ups. The rapids are fun and the river scenery is beautiful. The staff is helpful and friendly. They could use a few more shuttle buses to bring people back. All in all a great experience.
We rented the tandem kayak from Argo Canoe Livery for $25 and had a grand time going over the 9 "cascades" before kayaking the remainder of the river smoothly. The water was low so we hit a few rocks and even had to get out and walk a few times. The employees there were all very pleasant and helpful, all... 更多
My husband and two sons canoed the Huron River on Father's Day, June 19, 2016. It's best to get here early by 11:00 a.m. on the weekend or you will be waiting in a very long hot line. Parking is a a nightmare. You will most likely have to park on a side street. We did get here early and... 更多
My first time in Ann Arbor. My first time Kayaking with family. Parking is quite a walk away and yes we had to wait in a couple of different lines. One to sign liability another to pay. Than get your kayak and vest. Once you get past the congested small mini rapid there's a big stretch of beautiful lake. We... 更多
