WE went down to the beach three times during our visit. The first two days were a little cold but the third was a beautiful warm day. My kids swam in the water - too cold for me. But they could walk out quite a ways in the water. They loved the beach and had a blast
Nice, well kept beach. Looks like it is constantly maintained but sand still a bit rocky. Water was very clean & clear. Large play structures & swings for kids. Pavillion area & bathrooms available. Would go again.
Back in the day, there was a drive in restaurant called Starlite. the City owned the waterfront & for reasons known only tp God decided to move the main park there from Mich-e-ke-wis park/beach a block further south. A beautiful beach and a place to meditate. There is some wildlife but the water is usually too cold to swim for very long. At least when I have been there.
Starlite beach is very clean and has a lot of amenities Restrooms are always clean there are lots of benches to rest and it has a really nice play ground for kids. The sandy area is a little short but its ok. it is a nice place to swim or catch some sun. There are several restaurants near by some... 更多

They rake the sand every morning and make it wet. Who wants to lay in wet sand? Also, if it's nice out, it's busy. Then there really isn't anywhere to lay down, unless it's in the grass in the park behind the beach. Parking is awful.
