Climb the tower in the old palace for a small fee for the most amazing views of the old city harbour and surrounding town. It is not a difficult climb and steps are good with plenty of viewpoints all the way to the top. Well worth the effort.
For only a small amount of money you can climb the rather rickety looking staircase to the top of the tower and you're rewarded with some great views of the city. I'll admit that I was a bit dubious and a little nervous of using the staircase but the views were a great reward.
The place is actually an ancient palace. While it has all historic interests, the streets within have all modern restaurants, cafes and shops. The ancient times Palace that is kept in almost perfect condition, the stone gate stood here for several centuries but look just great. There are many refurbishments around and even new constructions that brings eclectic elements, anyway it strikes and attracts and creates unforgettable impression.
