Probably the most famous place in Odeca, so it really is a must for every first timer to the city. If you can't manage to walk up then take the lift !
This is clearly the biggest tourist draw and all 192 steps are worth seeing. The views going down the steps to the port are lovely. There are many tourist things but beware if them and the pickpockets that clearly and unsubtely work the area.
One of the must sees in Odessa! Here's where the Soviet film Battle of the Potemkin 1925 was shot in which one scene triggered a baby cart rowing down the steps and the mother getting shot along with the other people...sad and tragic place(( I believe there are 192 steps. My friend and I had a race there once....running up... 更多
You walk down, facing the port and sea. Coming up - 192 steps, I did it in stages, you may be offered to have your photo taken with a golden eagle on your arm. I did that, two eagles actually, Tom and Yunta, but be prepared!
this is why you mostly go to Odessa is to see these famous steps. Warning - there are a lot of people who scope out tourists and are looking for handouts or to hold a falcon for some money. Not cool. avoid them if you can.
