This place has a delicious energy! Sometimes you can find sea lion pups on the beach or swimming. In the summer they do some events as some fairs.
This is one of the least favorite beaches to hang-out-except for the locals..Many night beach parties for drinking and bonfires...The beach is not always clean..It is in a sprawling neighborhood of cottages and modest houses. The waves are big and even.No great for children as there is sometimes a forceful riptide...Getting there on a walking path can be a good... 更多
We love Tom Nevers beach. It is remote and pristine away from the crowds. The downside is there are no facilities, but if you a bring a lunch and some chairs you are in for a beautiful day at Tom Nevers!
While there are no public facilities here, if you want a secluded beach with few others around, this is a great beach to visit.
If you are looking for quiet with great waves, come here. Don't come here looking for crowds or a scene (go to Madequecham, Nobadeer, Cisco or Surfside for that)
Beautiful but remote. Other beaches in Nantucket easier to get to. Definitely worth a visit if you have more than a couple of days on the island.
Very nice beach but not very crowded. Kind of off the beaten path for most visitors. You need to know where it is to find it.
We really had a great time. We were picked up by Tom and given a history lesson on nantucket and sites we were seeing was we made our way to the boat. We went with two very good sweet people. My husband caught 10 bluefish which were fun to bring in. Excellent experience!
With a minimum of three acres per lot in most of Tom Nevers, and with some of the most deserted beaches on the island, Tom Nevers is a frequently ignored part of Nantucket. Those who learn there know its quiet, peaceful, and beautiful.
