I love coming here to soak up the sun. I'm not the only one, as the beaches get quite crowded in summer. I've never done it myself, but you can lift weights and do some gymnastics at the outdoor gym. In another area, you can go on a few kiddie rides. Snack shacks and mini bars are everywhere :)
Awful place, a lot of garbage on the beaches, a lot of cheap eateries full of drunk people who can not afford something better then beer or vodka, or vodka with beer. It is not that place you should go to have a rest at.
I saw people walking on bridge and followed them from the top of the hill. And surprised to see the beach in the middle of the city. It was beautiful place to enjoy.
Lots of drunk people and low-level restourants, that are not really good places to rest, loud music. But also amazing nature and a nice quiet meteostation, where you can book a place to make BBQ. So, everything is gonna be good if you go far from crowd.
Love to walk in this parkland area. The secret is to move away from the main shopping/built up area near the metro. Walk north or south and find yourself a nice quiet area to have a picnic with friends, go swimming for free or go fishing for the day.
I thought this park was OK. It was a little pricey here, but there were a lot of places to walk around. And a nice beach. Even though you can't swim in the dirty water here.
First visited here in Nov 2013. I took the red line via Kiev's metro and exited at Гидропарк station. When I arrived, I was surprised; there are practically NO ONE, NO TOURISTS here at all! This was a regular haunt for me and my family in the early 2000s. It was pretty grim then, but you could hire a row boat and go off to one of the islands for some shashlik.
