While it's not as big or as stunning as Cismigiu or Herastrau, Carol Park is still a fantastic visit. It's scenic from the entrance at Piata Libertatii as well as from up top at the war memorial.
I happened to go here the day of the WW1 service at the monument so didn't get to walk round it. However did get to watch some of the service from a spectators area and saw the Romanian President make a speech. The park itself is very nice, the monument is worth a look and a few days a week... 更多
While Cișmigiu may be my all-time favorite park for its intimate atmosphere, Carol I comes right next as the most impressive park I've been to while in Bucharest. It's a big park, with a long corridor from the main entrance towards the summit. There's a stairway that leads directly to the Obelisk, where can also be found the Mausoleum of... 更多
A massive war memorial with an eternal flame and the steps leading to it are features of this park. These steps (96 of them) are used to run up and down by people in training. Walking up once was enough for me. The park also features a boating lake and a long boulevard up and down which people walk, skate... 更多
It is my favorite place for running in the morning. It is clean and full of flowers and green. You have to chance to visit Dimitrie Leonida Museum - history technical experiments.
Stumbled across this park when we hired bikes. The memorial is spectacular and has an eternal flame that must be viewed in the later afternoon/early evening. Great views.
I've been here several times and I do come each time I have the occasion. Plenty of trees, nice small lake and the perfect location for outdoor sports such as jogging, yoga, biking or even rollers. Enough space for children to play and an interesting monument right at the top, where the view is amazing, especially during evening (palace of... 更多
It's not one of the largest parks in Bucharest, but I guess that makes it even better. Climb the steps and you'll have an amazing view over the park and over the House of Parliament.
You will see many families walking and children riding bicycles. There are a few vendors but not so many as to be annoying. There is a petennial flame, i think guarded by two soldiers, maybe 24/7.
The park is excellent if you have kids, during summer, there are places with lots of shadow and it's perfect for chilling around as well as training and doing sports.
