We used the subway. Just get off at Eroi Revolutiei stop and cross the street. They have put yellow arrows on the path if you want you can follow them and find the monuments much easier. A lot of very touching sculptures, very big writers, singers, actors, etc buried here, this cemetery is the most important from Bucharest. It's like an open air museum, so it's a place to see if you pass a few days by the capital.
This was a nice walk... If you ever get sick of the parks of Bucharest come here.The map of the place sucks and you can only find it near the entrance(at least that's the only one I saw), but if you don't care to visit a specific grave then a long walk through the whole place is marvelous.
It is a cemetery, but is like a nice sculptural museum. Several important artists from Romania build the statues, the statues. If you like art, you should visit the Bellu Cemetery.

I just love this cemetery and I visit it every time I pass from Bucharest. Is an infusion of culture, tradition and architecture. A piece of art, a heritage. I would recommend a guided tour because there are beautiful stories told by the sanctuaries in Bellu cemetery
