We always make a point of visiting the local art gallery wherever we are. We found this was large spacious well laid out. I would suggest you don't try to ' do it all' as it is over 3 floors and a huge building. You could spend quite a lot of time here but after 2 hours lunch called! Some... 更多
Very cheap, and worth having a look. Good info in English. There was one Bulgarian artist who stood out - what was his name? Georgi Velchev. PlacMonceau, Paris.
This is hands down one of the prettiest art galleries. The interior is beautiful, for 6 leia you get three different parts. So happy to see both modern and older art. Even if you dont like art - GO !!! You may learn about Albanian women who live life as man. It's not just paintings, it's also photography, two movies,... 更多
Probably the largest gallery in Sofia and a very worth visiting place. ~ Paintings from different countries / continents. ~ A lot of history is hidden in these paintings as plenty of them reflect the time they were created. ~ The gallery has videos. ~ Map available at the entrance. ~ Easy to find. ~ The building is huge and... 更多

The place used to be a palce, now it's an art gallery. Not too big, spacious enoug to have a good look. A perfect place for a rainy afternoon.
Not worth the 6 lev entrance fee IMO. Maybe 2 lev at the most. The building is lovely outside and inside much plainer but you can see vestiges of its former regality. The art itself is ... Meh. Modern when I prefer art centuries older. That being said, I admired several paintings of traditional Bulgarian scenes of life.
