The only Inca parts of this bridge are remnants of its foundation. The bridge itself is a wooden bridge suspended by cables. Not particularly interesting, especially given the other close-by opportunities to see great Inca ruins.
My wife and I stayed in Ollantaytambo for 3 days to acclimate ourselves for the ultimate Machu Picchu experience. The Inca Bridge is a pleasant short hike from town. The Inca Bridge sounds more exotic than reality. See photo nearby. However, crossing the bridge and bearing to the right one will find a fairly flat trail that accesses some Inca... 更多
This is a modern wooden bridge placed on inca foundation. It is around 1km from town, it is not the stone doors you see entering town. I did not go the full way to the quarry but the walk I did was so-so , lots of terraces but not as good or impressive as those in the temple ruins. Would... 更多
The Inca Bridge pointed on this map correct, but ALL the pictures are misleading. The Inca Bridge at Ollyantaytambo is a normal bridge that crosses Urubamba river. After that, there is long hiking loop that you can do. To give you perspective, the first tourist area advertised on the map is 90 minutes away. I would skip the short walk... 更多
This location has a lunch of history known and unknown but you see the height of the people that used to live there and you wonder about them let your mind drift to the pass when visiting the location where the Inca people created. Every where in Cusco you see places where the Inca people created and they use same... 更多
Well, the good news is that there is a locked gate and you aren't allowed on the bridge because I'm sure I'm stupid enough to have tried to go across it. It's definitely worth the short walk from Machu Picchu to see it. Might not be your cup of tea if you don't like walking along sheer drop-offs, Looooong way... 更多
This bridge is located near the entrance of Ollantaytambo city. It is just a normal bridge. We made the stop there and our driver [guide] said that if we cross and keep walking, we will see very scenic view of the terraces and ruins.
The rest of the coments in this section seem to be misleading, talking about other stuff (other inca bridges, other parts of Ollanta). The inca bridge in Ollantayambo is located near the entrance of town, towards the river. It has nothing special but if you cross it and turn right you will find yourself walking in a veery scenic (and... 更多
I love ancient ruins. So this review is a bit bias. So seeing this location made me extremely excited. Do some online research and you will find different opinions on how or why this place was made. Incas defiantly were here and made this place what we see today. The people before the inca made this place 1st were advanced... 更多
