This free museum was a great place to put the long history of Ecuador in context. It's reasonably large with good documentation for the exhibits. All were in Spanish although many of the major descriptions were both in English and Spanish. So much to see and all the different Indians and time periods make it very interesting. You have to put your bags in the shelf by the counter and then you are free to explore. We learned so much about history and culture.
The last time we were here, it took us over 2 hours to make our way through the museum primarily because photos were allowed.
