One of the smaller museums, right in the middle of the Medieval City (I visited it several times well before 2015 but tripadvisor does not give me that option). If you are interested in historical textile this is a great place to visit. Beautiful collection, mainly pharaonic, coptic and islamic, well displayed.
it shows many textiles from many cultures and ages; pharaonic, coptic, islamic, and others, we were 3 young friends and we enjoyed that museum, some of the showed items were funny as well.. the ticket was so cheap too..
This area alone is well worth a visit in old Cairo with the market streets all around it making it a must see and an hour in the textile museum tops off the day.
There is some very interesting textiles in here including a nappie thousands of years old.
