This church is most definitely worth your time to visit. It is beautifully constructed, and the interior is decorated in Islamic style with woodwork and pearl inlays. There are several icons of local saints, and beautiful icon paintings.
This church is so old, it makes you feel as though you have traveled back in time. It had 8 different Icons from 18AD, and is still being used as a Coptic Christian church.
Coptic Cairo was a must. We didn’t expect such a Christian presence in Egypt and it was nice to see the Coptic sites. Very distinct from the rest of Egypt, not to be missed.
This Church gives a view of the Christian side of Cairo and Egypt. The architecture whilst reflecting many intricate designs does in some parts reflect the Bible stories of Christ.
