Went to the caves, there is no one around to take money but just head into village to a speak to a local. Not much to see if you don't take a kayak, highly recommend this. Think of the money spent as going to the village people as a sort of donation. Is quite far removed from the main town...
We stopped at the caves but were very unimpressed. The entrance point is very unkempt and we had to send our driver into the village to find someone to pay so we could go into the cave. The guide told us little to nothing about the cave and our visit lasted 5 mins. Not worth it.
Really not worth going, but understandably the owners would like you to go to donate, but there was no kayak. Just a small dark cave in a remote spot with nothing in it that was accessible for 500Vatu pp.
I lived in the village of Siviri for a couple of weeks some time ago, recently popped out there to donate kids blankets, toys, shoes etc after the cyclone. The tours were on hold due to the community rebuilding, but it is still worth it to stop in if your going around the island.
Don't go anywhere on Sunday in...
