We walked around Fort Zeelandia twice; once just strolling through the streets; the second time we returned especially to visit the museum (which isn't always open). The museum is well worth a visit - telling and depicting the Suriname history, and containing the memorial for the "December murders". The fort itself is nice as well.

Not a whole day act. Better to visit at night or late hours, because of the hot weather. Does say something about the history. The wall with the bullets...is emotional.
