A great taste of the culture and the feel of Lebanon. Went to Hamra street from the airport because I hear so much about it. Busy street but lovely people, food and atmosphere. Enjoyed walking in it :)
but quite expensive with nothing unique to offer except some small cafes and resturants that have reasonable prices and nice atmosphere like hamra cafe try lebanese shawerma and wraps & have a shisha in any cafe also there are lots of reasonably priced hotels in this area generally use uber or walk, dont use taxis
On this trip I lived right off Hamra Street. This place is always busing during the day and early night. A long strip filled with stores, restaurants, and coffee shops, where people walk, shop and relax. Not the cool cosmopolitan boulevard it used to be. You still find a nice restaurant or bar in a side street, though. Too much traffic, a lot of beggars and refugees.
