Hard to find since there are no clear signs and it is located behind brick walls. Free and under construction. Staff are friendly who allowed me to put my heavy bag at the counter. Unlike other museums where there are staff for tours, there isn't any. I bumped into Mr Sultan - the Director of Antiquities who showed me the... 更多
Even though it's under construction, this is one of my favourite touristic places here in Kuwait. I can't wait to see what changes they're making to it once it's done. I loved their planetarium. They also had a division dedicated to the history of Kuwaiti families made entirely out of wax (the Kuwait Heritage Museum).
Is a bit hard to find because it is all hidden behind walls of sheet metal and construction material. The museum itself is free, and if it wasnt free it wouldent be even worth a look at this point. There are only two exhibits open, one showing old pottery and the other is a mock village of how life was... 更多
The museum wasn't too bad as I had modest expectations. The dioramas are fairly pleasant and generally well done, if slightly dated. The archeological exhibits are potentially interesting but the very limited captions / explainations really need to be improved though.
The current National Museum is currently undergoing a renovation but the planetarium is a must-visit for anyone in Kuwait. It's really beautiful. The planetarium is located within the national museum complex. Entry is free.
this museum is surrounded with some other location also, which are really good so when ever planning to visit this location don't forget to visit planetarium next to it.
There is no day bad enough to justify visiting this place. This is a museum a reminder of how museums were done 50 years are go. Just a lot of glass boxes with old stuff and no real explanation or story to them.. "here you see 50 old plates", "here you see 50 coins from the Hellenic period", "here you... 更多
National museum is good but it is a small museum and construction work is also going on. Got some difficulty to find the museum. Collection of old radio sets, cameras and gramophones are good. Information about Failakka island is nice to know. Coins and old artifacts shows history of Failakka island and connection with Alexander. Entry is free. Place is... 更多
I brought visitors from US to this place to show them some of Kuwait history and artifacts. The place was big in size but not as organized. There was still some construction going on around the area. The selection of artifacts were good, but still missing something I guess. I wished they had put everything closer buildings than so distant,... 更多
