It's a very big and amazing mausoleum located at south of Tehran, 24km from Tehran center which contain Imam Khomeini buried there. Very beautiful Islamic art adorns the building. Its very large land so there are a special vehicles carrying peoples from the gate.
To go to the shrine, take taxe 1 to the south till Imam Khomeini Shrine. Then you need to walk on the esplanade, and pass the first very big building with a lot of food shops. this is a never visit site for people like me in iran. and i dont think that anything is holy about this place. they spent our money to build the place with gold! sanctions and poverty and they build this place with gold!! never visit this place!
This shrine is between the international airport (IKA) and Tehran. The airport is about 70 miles away from Tehran. From the airport to the city you'll see this shrine on the left side of the freeway. The main things you see here is lots and lots of marbles, the floors and walls are all marble and too much lights.
