This house was where the beginnings of the Israeli military started. It starts with a 20 minute film and then about an hour to tour the museum. Very interesting and not ugly against the Palestinians. A good two hours spent.
We thoroughly enjoyed this museum, which was easy to follow and very informative. These young people trained each other to protect the young country of Israel prior to the formation of the Israeli Defence Force
This museum really captures the struggle to establish the State of Israel. For older people, it brings back memories of Zionist youth groups. This museum is a must for families with children - it tells a story that should not be forgotten.
We had bought a combined ticket at the Etezl Museum and decided to check this one out, as well. You need your passport to enter. My husband and I were the only two people in there pretty early in the morning other than a group of school children, so we had the place to ourselves and got to really focus... 更多
The home of one of the Hagana founders has been converted into a museum on three floors. It is well structured and organised, the exhibition beginning with a film about the origins of the organisation and its work to help migrants settle. Exhibits are well presented and supported by short explanations in English and Hebrew. The ground floor of the... 更多
You take an audio translator with you so no need to book ahead. Very clean and kept up facility. You can get a multi-pass for a month to 2 other museums.
The introductory movie provided all you need to get the intent of this museum. It really helped to understand the different military organizations within the country that fought for independence. However, the museum's English translations are falling off and it affects the presentation. There are some audio presentations that are only in Hebrew, understandably so, but for English speaking tourists... 更多

Contrary to popular belief, admission is not free. It's 15 shekels per adult. Make sure to bring your passport and visa card! It takes about 40 minutes to see the short intro movie and explore the floors of the museum. A great stop while exploring Rothschild Boulevard.
It is a must visit place for all interested in hagana & IDF history. Prepare to spend around 30-40 minutes in the museum and receive just enough information about the beginnings of IDF. There are some pretty cool exhibitions in the museum. Very nice service, too! The price is just about right - 15 ILS.
