Nice mediterranean beach - the best of Haifa beaches. The main stretch is normally wavy, and the northern part (ner Mandarin Hotel) is calm - best for children. A variety of restaurants on the promenade. Near Hof Hacarmel train station - easy to get to from anywhee in Israel.
Broad, very accessible (train, bus, lots of free parking), very nice and long promenade, restaurants and bars, grass areas, playgrounds, shade and sun, beach ball arena and lots more. and most of all, great clean water and sand, and great view of mount Carmel from the water.
Dado Beach is one of my favorite places in Haifa.
