This museum is very small compared to its many counterparts over the world - and this is strange, for the history of Istanbul is largely bound to seamanship and shipbuilding.
What you can see here is basically a collection of exemplars of the same type of boat, a typical Turkish unmotorized vessel, largely used by sultans over the 19th century....
It's nice to visit and see old boats, children also enjoyed it with some sculptures of maritime commanders.
But boats are high and you can't see well, they should put something to be able to see better.
For 6.5 Lira per person (children for free) it is not expensive, but when you know that you have to pay 13 Lira...
